  1. Putting your energies into something constructive that is not related to the stressful activity, will help use up the hormone overload.
  2. Learn a new skill to keep your brain active help raise your self-esteem.
  3. Take a walk, move your body.
  4. Read something you enjoy.
  5. Listen to music, a positive video or a podcast.
  6. Every day, write down three things that you accomplished in a day and celebrate!

In an article she recently had published, Rachita share some great tips on how to get ready for a big event where you want to look your best and shed some belly bloat.  These included eating more asparagus, drinking a gallon of water daily, and for 4 days prior to the event, going without any carbs or alcohol.

Her website, www.Reddy4HealthyBalance.com, has loads of tips to help readers lower their blood pressure naturally, lose weight, and create a healthy lifestyle.

Rachita Shares her Personal Message

Is it possible to have a successful job, raise a close family, maintain a social life AND look better than your pre-baby body? Over the past 3 years, I have transformed from a never before exerciser eating a chronic take-out diet into a regular gym attendee who now prepares home cooked meals and packs lunches for work. I have lost 40% of my body fat, dropped from a size 10 to a size 2 (while having 3 children under the age of 7!), and coached dozens of my patients to lose 20+ pounds while reversing their high blood pressure. Many of my strategies can be found on my website Reddy4HealthyBalance.com.

Episode #85 The Mindful Reset with Tejal Patel

Do you wish you could press the “reset” button when life happens?  Today on Financial Fluency, I am happy to have Tejal Patel from The Mindful Mama Experience to talk about how we can do this “mindful reset”, and the amazing benefits that that brings both to our own lives and those of our children.

Until about 7 years ago, Tejal was a divorce lawyer.  Being a sensitive type, she found herself getting personally invested in her clients.  She would take home her clients problems, and her  thoughts very often went to the children involved, and the stress they must be going through.

As a child, Tejal herself struggled with stress and anxiety.  Having learned meditation from her father at age 4, she realized that she could help children in a similar situation, by teaching them how to deal with life’s stresses, in a healthy, mindful way.   She began to teach children’s yoga and meditation  in the evenings, and eventually transitioned into her role as a Mindful Mama Coach on a full time basis.  She also teaches moms so they can support their children, and helps them create reset moments throughout their day.

Her program empowers women and helps them stay calm and centered when unexpected things happen.  Tejal shared a technique she calls The Carrie Bradshaw Technique which essentially involves being an observer of your feelings, and what you see, so you can put the thoughts you want in your mind.

Tejal’s soulful wisdom reaches a global community of women through her signature online course, The Mindful Mama Experience. Tejal’s program is a 6 week course specifically designed to help mamas become the most peaceful moms they can be and equip them with kid-friendly mindfulness tools they can practice with their kids.
